I HAVE A LOAN, I WANT TO SELL MY CAR NOW, CAN I SELL IT?
Yes you can sell your car and we are happy to buy it, but the outstanding finance has to be settled. You can settle the balance directly with your finance company prior to the sale. Or we can settle the balance for you, we can simply deduct the outstanding amount from the valuation of your car and pay it on your behalf.
We will need written proof from your finance company that the balance is paid in full or a settlement figure – which due to data protection laws, you will need to obtain.
If you owe more than the car is worth, the outstanding amount needs to be paid prior to us collecting the car or you can give us the difference in the form of a bankers draft made payable to your finance company, we will send this on your behalf.
We will assist you to make the transaction as straight forward as possible.
I DO NOT HAVE A V5 (LOGBOOK) – WILL YOU BUY MY CAR?
We must have the V5 Registration document (logbook) to be able to buy your car. If you have lost it, but the car is registered in your name, DVLA have an express service available, or you can complete and return a V62 form - obtainable from the post office or online from: http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Diol1/DoItOnline/DG_4017825.

The likely-hood is though, that your car will continue to depreciate as time goes on – running costs get higher as a car gets older and if you are considering selling your car for any reason – now is as good a time as any!

However, dealers can often appear to be offering an excellent part exchange price – this may be because they have a large margin on the car they are trying to sell you and can give you some of that margin to make the deal sound more attractive.
